Os Indicados ao Oscar 2018
A atriz Tiffany Haddish e o ator Andy Serkis acabam de anunciar a lista de indicados ao 90th Annual Academy Awards. Premiação mais importante do cinema, o Oscar 2018 já entra na história por algumas marcas alcançadas no anúncio de agora há pouco: Rachel Morrison se torna a primeira mulher da história a ser indicada na categoria de Melhor Fotografia, enquanto que Octavia Spencer se torna a primeira atriz negra a ser indicada 3 vezes ao Oscar de Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante. Já Meryl Streep se consolida cada vez mais como a maior atriz indicada ao Oscar, conquistando hoje a sua 21ª indicação pelo filme The Post – A Guerra Secreta, e Greta Gerwig se torna a quinta mulher a ser indicada ao Oscar de Melhor Diretor, pelo filme Lady Bird – Hora de Voar, assim como seu colega de categoria, Jordan Peele, se torna o quinto negro indicado a Melhor Diretor, por Corra! – e o primeiro a ser indicado, no mesmo ano, a Diretor, a Roteiro Original e a Melhor Filme.
Antes visto como favorito absoluto ao Oscar de Melhor Filme, Três Anúncios Para um Crime, filme de Martin McDonagh, chega enfraquecido à premiação, uma vez que a ausência de McDonagh na categoria de Melhor Direção coloca um banho de água fria nas pretensões do longa.
A Forma da Àgua, filme de Guillermo Del Toro, é a obra com o maior número de indicações, obtendo 13 menções. Em seguida, vem Três Anúncios Para um Crime, com 7 indicações.

O 90th Annual Academy Awards acontece no dia 04 de março e terá a apresentação de Jimmy Kimmel.
Fiquei muito satisfeito com a lista de indicados.Muito bom ver a acadêmia prestigiar filmes como “Corra!”,”Doentes de Amor”,”Lady Bird’ entre outros.Gostei da diversidade das escolhas,de ver uma mulher indicada na categoria direção(merecidamente),da escolha por obras que abordam racismo( “Corra!” e o documentário “Strong Island”),relacionamentos entre pessoas do mesmo sexo(“Me Chame pelo Seu Nome”) e um filme de super herói nomeado na disputada categoria roteiro(“Logan”).É o Oscar olhando para o que de melhor tem no cinema! Costumo reclamar da ausência de alguns filmes,mas esse ano a AMPAS acertou.
Paulo, a diversidade de escolhas, realmente, saltou aos olhos nessa lista de indicados ao Oscar 2018. Mal posso esperar para assistir aos filmes.
Gostei de ver na lista o “esquecido” Paul Thomas Anderson, pra mim um dos gênios vivos em Hollywood. Meu filme do ano é O Destino de uma Nação.
Respondendo seu comentário lá no Museu sobre o filme, concordo com vc que parece uma subtrama de Dunkirk, mas era necessário, já que o feito de Churchill, nesse episodio, é um dos maiores do Primeiro Ministro. Mas na própria película podemos extrair outras, como a perseverança e insistência dele em não se render ao nazismo, em construir uma amizade com o Rei sem puxar-lhe o saco, em ouvir a população britânica como um verdadeiro politico deve fazer e sua fanfarronice genial.
Cassiano, a presença de PT Anderson e de seu filme “Phantom Thread” em várias categorias do Oscar 2018, definitivamente, foi uma das boas surpresas da lista de indicados à premiação mais importante do cinema. E concordo com seu ponto de vista sobre “O Desafio de uma Nação”.
